THE TL;DW

- The clip demonstrates the popular watermelon slice hack — a fast, low-mess way to cut clean slices.
- It fits Dude Perfect’s growing catalog of short-form hack and stunt clips built for rapid shareability.
The Jupiter Take
This is a low-stakes, high-shareability Short rather than a big story — Dude Perfect amplifying a viral kitchen trick already popular on food-hack channels. It shows the group leaning into bite-sized collab content alongside their usual trick-shot uploads.
Context
Zach D Films has built a large following across platforms by posting quick, satisfying food-cutting and kitchen-hack clips, and this watermelon technique has circulated in various forms on YouTube, Facebook, and Snapchat in recent months. Dude Perfect crediting the creator directly in the title suggests this is a shared or reposted trick rather than an original DP invention, a common move for the channel’s Shorts strategy of mixing trick shots with trending, easily digestible content.
Dude Perfect, the Texas-based group known for trick shots and comedy sketches, has increasingly used short-form video to stay visible between its longer flagship uploads, similar to how they’ve turned everyday moments into quick hits like their Best Feelings Playing Sports short. Food and lifestyle hacks tend to perform well as Shorts because they’re instantly useful and easy to replicate, which likely explains why this watermelon-cutting clip made the cut for their feed.
