Linus worst tech he still uses: What You Need to Know
THE TL;DW
- Linus Sebastian flips the usual “best gear” format to call out the worst tech he still keeps around.
- The short frames it as a personal confession rather than a formal review or ranking.
- Linus worst tech he still uses turns out to be less about specs and more about habit, nostalgia, or plain laziness.
The Jupiter Take
LTT built its channel on chasing the best hardware, so a video admitting to sticking with subpar gear is a rare bit of self-aware honesty. It’s a quick, personality-driven short rather than a benchmark-heavy review, but it’s the kind of relatable admission that resonates with anyone still clinging to a busted charger or ancient mouse.
Context
Linus Tech Tips built its reputation testing and recommending cutting-edge PCs, monitors, and accessories, so a short about deliberately keeping bad tech around is a deliberate change of pace. It fits a recurring pattern on the channel where Linus pokes fun at his own inconsistencies, similar to past confessions about clinging to outdated gear purely out of convenience or sentiment. The format mirrors other quick-hit LTT shorts that trade deep technical breakdowns for candid, personality-first moments audiences tend to share widely.
